Introverts are Adventurous in their Own Special Way

Adventure is an exploration of something different and a guarantee to do the things that make us feel special in our own way. Introverts are the people who try to do things differently all the time; provided, that they are not disturbed in their job.

Adventure does not mean, gossiping with people loudly, going to night parties, and informing every little thought of yours to others. Extroverts think they are more outgoing and therefore they are more adventurous and the whole world falls under their feet. Another “show off” is that they will always share their past experiences, often adding more spice into the story. That is sickening. The last thing that we Introverts can think about is exposing every little detail to everyone garnishing it with fake pieces of information.

On the other hand, Introverts, no matter how splendid their past adventures be; will share them with private people and keep them subjected to blogs, diaries, and social media. An adventure for me is next to self exploration and challeging my limits.

I have participated in splendid adventures like River Crossing, Air Gliding, Rock climbing and I am always open to adventures of that kind. At the same time I also enjoy sipping hot coffee in a dimly lighted restaurant and catching the sight of an old bookstore or a desolated house. If you know what I mean..

A lot of travelers, for example, prefer to travel alone and a lot of times they are asked “ Alone, my God don’t you get Bored?”. People don’t understand that they are not traveling just for finding an opportunity to socialize but because they try to learn something and cherish it forever in their hearts.

There are hundreds of examples that readily prove that Introverts are not that backdated when they travel alone; they are genuine in their behavior and hence they carry beautiful memories from their journey.

I myself love to travel and before that, I make a good study about the place before traveling. At the same time, I also pen down and capture important moments in those places by collecting things that might seem silly before the Extroverts. For Example, Collecting rocks, a trinket, A recipe, seasonal plants, Flags, Candies, and whatever the place has to offer. Sometimes the local people become so happy by witnessing my interest in their culture that, a couple of times, they themselves have gifted me something.

On personal note, I would like to share a story. when I traveled to Puducherry and got stuck in the lockdown; I became very close to an Oriya Family. They owned a boutique Shop and lived straight to the widow of my Guesthouses’ window. They were a family of three and not everyone understood Hindi well! every time I opened the window they were always either having tea or talking. We started interacting so much that they not only invited me into their house but also showed me around for the daily necessities that I had to buy. They had grown so attached to me that the day I left, they were in tears. We still interact on the Telephone and are devoted to remaining good friends.

I have found peace in writing my heart out and if that affects even 1% of the world, then I am more than privileged!
